Wedding collar

sketch1This autumn started with a challenge for me. I was asked to create a jewellery set for a bride using wire and the weaving technique.Colan1

Obviously, I was very happy to unleash my creativity.

I made a collar, a tiara and earring accordingly to the bride costume and wedding theme.sketch 2
First I spent 2-3 days drawing till I refined my sketches.

I came with this:

When I started weaving some changes appeared: I added some small beads to enrich to weaving and 2 wire colours to underline the cloth design and texture.

DSC_7652Step by step I developed my work from a bi dimension piece to a volume:
tiara

Tiara is a curved woven piece like a neck ruffle.

The collar is a simple, around the neck piece to underline the feminine traits and the bride beauty.choker3

I am very happy with the result, and i’d like to share my work to youcercei6.

The earrings are simple, woven alike to suit the set.

created this project inspired by a Mosaic school in Friuli – Italy. O visited it last year and I was impressed of the diversity of using stone and glass to create dimension and imagery. Name of stitch, stitches used – bead embroidery and couching beads and metal thread

Name of products used, size and material – Toho seed beads (mosaic background – 15/0; Main design and finishing 11/0)

overall size of piece – width 28cm, high 48cm

time to complete more than 6 hours/day for 56 days

Looking for an Agent!

owl1

5 years ago i started my Jewellery business.

Blue-woven-snails-necklace-th

First i worked beaded and bead tapestries woven on loom. I created my own patterns and designs for earrings, necklaces an bracelets or nice Home designs hangings.

I enlarged my skills in wire weaving and wrapping developing “cold” collection in silver and bras wire.

My last year work was “embellished” with embroidery and gold embroidery.

Spiral-embroidered-collar-th

I am very found of these techniques as they are a very rich and elegant look.

As additional techniques  I enjoy tatting and kumihito touches to create a unique effect on the piece I design.

I nice addition for a wire work is a chainmail detail.

Unfortunately, after 5 years i am not in position of enjoying many clients.

I need a lot of time to manage my on line shop, to make photos of my work and to promote it. i find hard to split myself in order to have enough time for working and to promote.

Phoenix

I think it is a good idea to look for a collaboration. i am looking for an agent, for a person interested in selling jewellery, in promoting items for a specific, personalised target.

I tried selling in real shops but the commercial addition was more than 150% for the shop and obviously nobody was interested to pay so much.

Roses-embrace-tapestry

I tried an integrated internet promoting but the feedback was poor.

I feel a real person is more adequate to feel , love and talk about real products.

If you are interested or have any ideas in order to help my in my quest you are more than welcome to reply to my post.

share your experience and success to let me too to follow your good steps.

have a beautiful day!

Fire Harphe Wrapped and Woven Copper Pendant

I designed this pendant using different techniques of working the wire: coiling, shaping, weaving, wrapping and decorating with metal elements.
I made it in a harp shape embellished with beads reminding of the music sounds at each movement of the body. The pendant is light and its dimensions are 11×14 cm. The chain is included. I used only copper material for this pendant.

Green maze embroidered sash

I created this embroidered sash for March challenge from Etsy Beadweavers Team. The theme was “Destination”.
I took it symbolic imaging a spiritual path of a maze. The maze symbolistic is well known so I embrace it happily.

Green_embroidered_maze_sash_1

You start from one side of the maze looking for the right path, twisting and going round thus in the end to exit the opposite side, full of knowledge and experience.

Green_embroidered_maze_sash_2

In my design the correct path is underlined using larger beads sown in a different way than the wrong path or the green bushes.

I used my favorite shape of spiral and color of green Miyuki seed beads for the bushes walls, the sandy Miyuki seed beads are used to create the false paths and the golden large seed beads show the right path. The embroidery is designed to be worn as a sash. It is attached on a width free silk ribbon.

It is possible to be worn at a wedding, or a similar special event. It comes over the waist and is knotted in the back in a bow or a simple nice knot.

Dimension: 16 x 13 cm. 26 hours work.

Venice Carnival Necklace

Middle Age Spring_3

I created a free form needle work with beads,

Middle Age Spring_4

In a stumpwork embroidery style I decorated the beadwork work with coiled wire making accents and interesting points.
I tatted with dark red wool the edges to approach the crewel style of the embroidery.

The laces are tatted to making the necklace adjustable. It remembers me of carnival of Venice
