Wedding collar

sketch1This autumn started with a challenge for me. I was asked to create a jewellery set for a bride using wire and the weaving technique.Colan1

Obviously, I was very happy to unleash my creativity.

I made a collar, a tiara and earring accordingly to the bride costume and wedding theme.sketch 2
First I spent 2-3 days drawing till I refined my sketches.

I came with this:

When I started weaving some changes appeared: I added some small beads to enrich to weaving and 2 wire colours to underline the cloth design and texture.

DSC_7652Step by step I developed my work from a bi dimension piece to a volume:
tiara

Tiara is a curved woven piece like a neck ruffle.

The collar is a simple, around the neck piece to underline the feminine traits and the bride beauty.choker3

I created a free form needle work with beads,

Sea God Necklace

In the summer time I am filled with images of sea waves and shells on the warm sand.

These feelings stimulate my creativity and so I created this Sea God design.

I used shells and Swarovski Crystals encased in embroidery.

The spirals and crowded waves alternate with simple embroidery creating “breathing spaces”.This necklace is worn around the neck as a collar, the toggle is silver plated and the inside is neutral felt, soft and nice on the skin.

I worked on it for two week more than eight hours per day, but I hope you enjoy the result as much as I do.

38 hours work.

Materials used: shells and Swarovski Crystals, Miyuki seed beads, silver plated toggle, felt for backside.

NOTE: Order to make it for you.

Cala lily amphora pendant wirework

I started this design around a Venice glass in a leaf shape. I started drawing spirals linked to its case. AS i was working i decorated each spiral in a different way and shape it in a sophisticated amphora. The wire weaving is done using simple coiling around one wire or around 2 linked wires creating a new design band. One of the bands are decorated with metal beads.
I let the wire down when i felt i finish the pendant. it has n amphora shape for the Cala lilt flowers from the focal.
I used silver plated wire and beads and a large Venice glass bead (2.5 x 5cm).
Dimension of the pendant: 19x 14 cm. Light.

August challenge

As usually each month comes with a new challenge in bead weaving.

This month theme is  “HOT, HOT, HOT”.

I worked on a elegant chocker for evening events and parties, for beautiful woman necks.

I beaded in lacing technique segments of flowers using seed beads and crystals.

Golden seed beads as the glowing summer sun and red crystals as the setting sun entering the sea.

I hope you like my necklace, and if you do you can vote it (no. 27) at
