Green maze embroidered sash

I created this embroidered sash for March challenge from Etsy Beadweavers Team. The theme was “Destination”.
I took it symbolic imaging a spiritual path of a maze. The maze symbolistic is well known so I embrace it happily.

You start from one side of the maze looking for the right path, twisting and going round thus in the end to exit the opposite side, full of knowledge and experience.

In my design the correct path is underlined using larger beads sown in a different way than the wrong path or the green bushes.

I used my favorite shape of spiral and color of green Miyuki seed beads for the bushes walls, the sandy Miyuki seed beads are used to create the false paths and the golden large seed beads show the right path. The embroidery is designed to be worn as a sash. It is attached on a width free silk ribbon.

It is possible to be worn at a wedding, or a similar special event. It comes over the waist and is knotted in the back in a bow or a simple nice knot.

Dimension: 16 x 13 cm. 26 hours work.

Embroidery my special way of painting

In my childhood i used to paint using the magic of water to create smooth zones of color or adding more paint in the strong emotional area of the painting.

I started bead embroidery last year and i used the same magic effect of using points or spot to increase or decrease the emotional value of the work.

Very important in embroidery work is the feeling that piece of art send to your hart. The visual force is very important. using large beads you get a calm sensation but crowding many seed beads in a small spot attract the eye and interest.

I try to alternate these zones in order to create emotional designs.

I invite you to admire and comment on my work.

Awaiting Valentine’s day

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

The red and white day is approaching. The day when most of people remember they love. I say we love everyday and remembering this makes us breathing, feeling, living. But Valentine’s day is a coutume so let’s keep it like this – a pretext to give and receive presents. I present you some of my jewelry work for this celebration mixing the specific colors with the valuable materials as Swarovski crystals, silver wire, Rivoli.

Brown roses or between classical and casual

Hello. The week-end is approaching and the jewelry box wins a temporary most important place in your duties. Let’ open it together and see what we find today!

On my side of the world the sun is shinning today, it is quite warm and there is a good idea to have a walk in the part. In the evening is possible to meet some friends in a pub talking about the last skiing attempts (the snow is few this year here).

I propose you a fabric brooch small and discrete, barely covering the lapel. I used brown cotton fabric and light pink silk ribbon. It is part of a set will be use both in casual or classic outfits. The set composes a necklace , earrings, ring and brooch. On my opinion they could be worn together for a classic deux piece but for jeans and sweater outfits I’d use only the necklace and either the ring or the earrings. The brooch can stay on the lapel of the coat.

The flower design I created is between formal and modern. The brown stylized roses are more “artistic” than “sweet”and they give strong and firmness to the person wearing them.

I hope you enjoy!

Sea God Necklace

In the summer time I am full with images of sea waves and shells on the warm sand. These feelings stimulate my creativity and so I created this            Sea God design. I used shells and Swarovski Crystals encased in embroidery. The spirals and crowded waves alternate with simple embroidery creating “breathing spaces”. This necklace is designed to be worn around the neck as a collar, the toggle is silver plated and the inside is neutral felt, soft and nice on the skin. I worked on it for two weeks more than eight hours per day, but I hope you enjoy the result as much as I do.

38 hours work.
Materials used: shells and Swarovski Crystals, Miyuki seed beads, silver plated toggle, felt for backside.
