Green maze embroidered sash

I created this embroidered sash for March challenge from Etsy Beadweavers Team. The theme was “Destination”.
I took it symbolic imaging a spiritual path of a maze. The maze symbolistic is well known so I embrace it happily.

You start from one side of the maze looking for the right path, twisting and going round thus in the end to exit the opposite side, full of knowledge and experience.

In my design the correct path is underlined using larger beads sown in a different way than the wrong path or the green bushes.

I used my favorite shape of spiral and color of green Miyuki seed beads for the bushes walls, the sandy Miyuki seed beads are used to create the false paths and the golden large seed beads show the right path. The embroidery is designed to be worn as a sash. It is attached on a width free silk ribbon.

It is possible to be worn at a wedding, or a similar special event. It comes over the waist and is knotted in the back in a bow or a simple nice knot.

Dimension: 16 x 13 cm. 26 hours work.
